The casino industry is dynamic. To keep you informed of the latest developments, the Casino Association of Indiana offers several resources, including the News Room.

Billboards Promote Industry Jobs, Taxes Paid
Casinos in Indiana employ over 15,000 people, and have paid over $9.5 billion in taxes to the State since 1995. The Casino Association of Indiana, the not for profit trade association for Indiana's Casinos, has launched a billboard campaign in an effort to educate Hoosiers regarding basic economic development benefits that casino gaming has brought to Indiana in it's brief ten year existence.

We are proud of our industry's accomplishments. Jobs, wages and benefits, taxes and capital investment are all universally recognized economic development contributions that business and industry bring to a community. The Indiana Casino Entertainment Industry has proven itself as a significant employer with 2005 annual wages and benefits at $589 million. We have also proven that we are consistently performing partners in Indiana's economy via the $6 billion in tax dollars to the State since 1995 and over $2 billion in capital investment dollars spent in the host communities. We have continued to meet or exceed the expectations placed on us by the State at the inception of Casino Gaming in Indiana."

This billboard campaign was launched to increase the awareness in areas removed geographically from the visible benefits that casino gaming has brought to the communities and the state of Indiana. All 92 counties reap the benefits of casino gaming revenue. Annually, $33 million of casino wagering tax revenue is shared with non-gaming counties, cities and towns.

Our billboards can be seen throughout Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Lafayette, Bloomington and Terre Haute.
